Description: As the District of Columbia and its Medicaid Managed Care Plans continue to build toward an integrated health system that delivers whole-person care, value-based payment (VBP) is becoming an increasingly large segment of a Medicaid providers’ financial stability. Achieving success in VBP arrangements requires understanding the payment mechanisms, the quality metrics in your arrangements, and how to work as a care team to target increased performance to improve care and outcomes and earn incentive payments.
In this learning collaborative, participants will learn about Medicaid value-based payment arrangements in the District of Columbia, how these apply to their own provider practice, and how to work towards improving care tied to payment. After this initial general session to better understand VBP, participants will select one of three content-specific tracks to deep-dive into improving a VBP metric. There will be four learning cycles which will run from July 2024 through May 2025. Come learn about this learning collaborative to help to improve care for your population and improve your provider practice’s financial stability!
