Description: Join us for a two-part Motivational Interviewing practice series in early 2023. While many clinicians have had training in motivational interviewing (MI), these skills are best developed through continual practice opportunities. To that end, we have designed two refresher workshops that focus on the application of foundational MI in specific situations. The focus of these refreshers is on sharpening and strengthening existing skills. These interactive sessions are best attended by clinicians with foundational knowledge of motivational interviewing and practice proficiency. Participants should be prepared to practice and hone their skills during the workshop.

Series: Motivational Interviewing Series, Part 1

In this first workshop, will spend the majority of the time directly practicing foundational OARS skills to evoke interest and commitment to making health behavior changes.
